Our Family History

September 2011: James & Ashley were in the same ward, but really met each other for the first time when her roommates came to meet his.

October 2011: Cabin trip with all of our friends. The first time James ever actually kissed me was here during a late night game of truth or dare game. We saw right through Nick & Andrea.

October 31, 2011: While walking through a haunted house with our friends, our group of friends were split into twos. We just happened to be sitting next to each other. When we were being told where to go and what to do, James's hand snuck right up into Ashley's and he led her through the big, scary house.

November 12, 2011: Official first date. We were almost home when he asked what he should tell people if they asked what we were. Then he asked if it'd be okay to call me his girlfriend. Couldn't giggle out a yes fast enough.

November 2011: For our Thanksgiving break, James & I took a road trip together. We hit his family in Utah and made it all the way to Las Vegas to surprise my sister as she got engaged!

December 2011-April 2012: Long distance relationship starts. Boooooo.

April 2012: School started and we started talking about marriage. I wasn't ready.

July 2012-August 17, 2012: Long distance starts....again.

August 18, 2012: James's parents flew me out to meet the family in Florida!

August 24, 2012: While on a "geocaching expedition," Pirate's Cove led me to the x that marked the spot to my very favorite treasure: my engagement ring!! James got down and popped the question, and I was all too happy to jump on him with a yes! My new sister-in-law took our awesome engagement pictures immediately after (so these smiles are genuine)

December 18, 2012-January 2, 2013: Last long distance we've ever had to deal with. What up!

January 5, 2013: Sealed for time & all eternity in the San Diego, LDS temple. {Besides James getting totally sick} It was the best day of my whole life.

I can't wait to keep 'em coming and be side by side forever with my very best friend. We're looking forward to eternity!
